Frequently Asked Questions
How does converting a photo work? When you choose a photo, it’s uploaded to our server to generate your paint-by-numbers canvas. The original photo is deleted from our servers as soon as conversion finishes — we don’t keep it, view it, or use it for anything else.
Do I need to create an account? No. The app identifies your device with a random ID generated on your phone. It isn’t tied to your name, Apple ID, or email address.
What are credits, and how do I get more? Converting a photo costs a number of credits, which varies by the difficulty level you choose. Credits are purchased as one-time in-app purchases — there’s no subscription. You can buy more credits any time from within the app.
Purchased credits do not expire. They are connected to the app’s anonymous client ID. Consumable credit packs cannot be restored automatically by Apple’s Restore Purchases feature. If you lose access to an unused paid balance, contact support and include your Apple purchase receipt and any available PicNum diagnostic information. We will investigate, but cross-device or post-deletion recovery is not guaranteed.
How do I request a refund? Apple processes App Store payments and decides refund eligibility. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with the Apple Account used for the purchase, and choose Request a refund.
Can I come back to a painting later? Yes. Your paintings are saved to your library on your device, so you can pick up exactly where you left off.
How do I report a bug? Use the Report a Problem button in Settings or on a failed conversion screen, or email us at the address above.
How do I request deletion of server data? Use Report a Problem in the app and write that you are requesting data deletion. Keep the diagnostic section in the message because its client-ID suffix helps us find the correct records without asking for your name or Apple Account. You can also email support directly with the client-ID suffix and an approximate conversion date. We will confirm the request and explain any transaction records that must be retained for fraud prevention, accounting, or legal obligations.
