A little help.
Then back to your talk.

Get comfortable with Teleprompter: Speech Deck.

Start your first rehearsal

  1. Create a new script from the library and enter a title and your text.
  2. Open the reader with the Start action. On Mac, your script opens in a separate reader window.
  3. Reading starts paused. Press Play when you are ready, and Pause whenever you need a break.

The reader needs at least one word. If Start is unavailable, add some text and let the script finish saving.

Settle into your own pace

Open aA in the reader to change pace, text size, line spacing, and highlighting. Choose Continuous reading for a flowing script, or Cards to work through one part at a time.

Word highlighting advances at your chosen pace; it does not listen to your voice. Use the backward and forward controls to move one word, or Reset to return to the beginning.

Controls hide while reading. Tap or click the script to show them again.

Organize a longer talk

Use Organize in the editor to add a card or split text at the cursor. Cards let you divide a talk into smaller parts while keeping it in one script. Card menus offer the available move, combine, and delete actions.

Come back to your place

Pause keeps your reading position. Reopen an unfinished rehearsal and choose Resume or Start from Beginning. Both choices leave the reader paused until you press Play.

Editing the script clears its previous rehearsal position so the next reading matches your new text.

Saving and local data

Scripts save automatically after you stop typing. If saving fails, keep the editor open and use Retry. Keep a separate copy of important text: this release has no sync or import/export.

Delete a script from its library menu, or use Delete All Scripts in Settings. Confirm only when you are ready to remove that data.

Manual reading works offline. No account, microphone permission, or speech-model download is needed.
