Scripts and reading preferences

Teleprompter: Speech Deck stores your scripts, cards, reading preferences, and unfinished rehearsal positions locally on your device. There is no account to create, and this release does not sync scripts between devices.

Manual reading works offline. Word highlighting runs at your selected pace without sending your script to a timing service.

Microphone and speech

Manual reading does not require microphone permission or a speech-model download. Voice following and recording are not available in this release.

Information about retained speech software and its licenses is available in the app’s Privacy and Acknowledgements screens.

Diagnostics and Apple services

Technical diagnostics can contain script identifiers and short excerpts of script text. Review device logs before choosing to share them with support.

Apple may provide aggregate or opt-in App Store and TestFlight measurements, diagnostics, and feedback according to your settings and Apple’s policies.

This website

This website uses no analytics scripts, advertising, tracking cookies, or external fonts. Its images and styles are served with the website.

GitHub Pages hosts this website. GitHub logs visitors’ IP addresses for security purposes. GitHub controls the retention of these hosting records.

Managed by GitHub under its privacy statement. The cited policy does not specify a fixed retention period for GitHub Pages request logs.

When you contact support

If you send an email, your message passes through your email provider and our support inbox. It includes the address you send from and whatever information you choose to include. Messages are used to answer questions, investigate reported problems, and respond to privacy requests.

You do not need to send your scripts. Please avoid sharing sensitive information.

Support-message retention

Support emails and attachments are kept while a request is being resolved and deleted within 30 days after it is resolved.

Deleting your data

Delete individual scripts from the library, or use Delete All Scripts in Settings to remove scripts and their rehearsal positions. These actions require confirmation.

To request deletion of support messages, contact the address above. Device backups and Apple-managed diagnostics are controlled by the relevant device settings and Apple services.

Changes to this policy

When the app or the way information is handled changes, this page will be updated with a new policy date.
